Promotion Requirements

ZAPZ Prep uses a mastery‑based progression system. Students advance to the next grade when they demonstrate understanding of required skills, not based on seat time or age alone.

Core Promotion Standards

  • 80% mastery in all core subjects
  • Completion of required ZAPZ Academy modules
  • Completion of annual Mental Health course
  • Minimum 80% live class attendance
  • Advisor review and approval

Grade‑Level Requirements

Each grade has specific mastery expectations in reading, math, science, social studies, and wellness. Students who do not meet mastery receive intervention, tutoring, and retake opportunities.

Elementary (K–5)

  • 80% mastery in ELA and Math
  • Completion of Science and Social Studies modules
  • Completion of Mental Health course
  • Advisor sign‑off

Middle School (6–8)

  • 80% mastery in ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies
  • Completion of Mental Health course
  • Advisor sign‑off

High School (9–12)

  • 80% mastery in all core courses
  • Completion of Life Readiness course for that grade
  • Completion of Mental Health course
  • Credit requirements met
  • Advisor approval
