ZAPZ Prep Code of Conduct
Standards for student behavior, digital citizenship, respect, and community expectations in a fully virtual learning environment.
1. Core Expectations
- Respect yourself, others, and the learning environment.
- Use appropriate language in all communications.
- Follow teacher directions and school policies.
- Engage actively in learning and collaboration.
2. Virtual Classroom Behavior
- Keep camera on unless otherwise approved.
- Use chat for learning, not side conversations.
- Mute/unmute responsibly.
- Do not disrupt live sessions.
3. Digital Citizenship
Students must use technology responsibly, protect their privacy, and treat others with kindness and respect in all online spaces.
4. Prohibited Behaviors
- Harassment, bullying, or cyberbullying.
- Sharing inappropriate or harmful content.
- Recording or distributing class sessions without permission.
- Impersonating others or using fake accounts.
5. Consequences
ZAPZ Prep uses a tiered discipline system, including redirection, parent contact, Support Coach involvement, behavior plans, suspension from live classes, and removal in severe cases.
6. Restorative Practices
When harm occurs, ZAPZ Prep prioritizes reflection, accountability, and relationship repair through restorative conversations and re‑entry plans.
