Expectations for honesty, originality, assessments, and responsible use of AI tools in a virtual learning environment.

1. Core Principles

ZAPZ Prep expects all students to complete their own work, demonstrate honest effort, and represent their learning accurately.

2. What Counts as Academic Dishonesty

  • Copying answers from others.
  • Using AI tools to generate full assignments without permission.
  • Plagiarizing from websites, books, or AI.
  • Sharing test answers or assessment content.
  • Having someone else complete work for you.

3. Responsible Use of AI Tools

AI tools may be used for:

  • Brainstorming ideas.
  • Checking grammar.
  • Getting explanations.

AI tools may not be used to:

  • Write full essays or assignments.
  • Complete quizzes or tests.
  • Bypass learning or mastery checks.

4. Consequences

Academic dishonesty may result in:

  • Redoing the assignment.
  • Reduced or zero credit.
  • Parent notification.
  • Support Coach or advisor meeting.
  • Behavior or integrity plan.

5. Growth & Reflection

ZAPZ Prep views mistakes as learning opportunities. Students are encouraged to reflect, take responsibility, and rebuild trust.
